new year glitter...

So what are your big plans for New Years Eve this Friday? Are you attending a black tie event, glamming it up for a night on the town, or attending a house party? We all love the opportunity to ring the new year in with style, even if we are playing it low-key. No matter how we celebrate, most of us ladies will be sure to plan our outfit in advance.

New Year's Eve is often depicted as a glamourous celebration, often with jewels and champagne toasts (or hockey and beer! haha) I still see the occasion of ringing in another year as an opportunity to wear something special to start it off with a bang. I would suggest either going big and bold with your necklace or earrings and more subtle with other pieces. I'm particularly into larger or bib-style necklaces of unique design. For earrings, have a little fun and add a gemstone colour to your pieces (love an emerald shade)!

Below I've included some accessory inspiration, choosen by some key looks I currently love!

Those Kate Spade earrings are phenomenal. Okay maybe I am being prejudice here because emeralds are my birth stone. No one has to know that though, it can be our little secret!
Best,

I absolutely love the first pair of earrings! Too bad they are out of my price range.

Bre- I think I went with Emerald just because green is my fav colour! (That's my little not-so-secret-now, haha)

Tiff- Don't worry they are waaay out of my price range too! lol, that's why I only labelled my picks as inspiration...I'm sure someone could score rhinestone look-alikes for less than $20! :)

I love your earring picks - the emerald touches are lovely! I'm not sure what my New Years will be like this year -- I live in a College Town and everyone takes off over break so it's just me and my husband. I'd like to think that we'll dress up and go out for champagne but I think it's more likely that we'll buy a bottle of bubbly and get some pizza and rent some movies. Actually, that sounds pretty decent...

Love the Esquared necklaces!! I have my dress already picked out, one I purchased from Je Suis Prest after the Holiday fashion party. It is a Jack by BB Dakota dress.
