where do you blog?

There's something to be said about sitting on your couch in your comfy pajamas, watching your favourite TV episodes via DVD and uploading photos for your blog. Or sitting on the deck with a glass of wine and cozy sweater while typing out the finishing touches on your next blog post. Writing at home can be relaxing, but there are times were I like to stick myself in the middle of the action- plop down in a coffee shop and type while I people watch!

For those fellow bloggers (or those who do work outside of the house) where is your away-from-home "office"? I have a couple coffee shops I like to frequent so I can sip on a fresh latte and type away. Sometimes the environment can be peaceful but on a day like today, the noise can be roaring if the coffee shop is busy or if there are half a dozen toddler cuties nearby! I've chalked it up to be an occupational hazard...you can't expect complete peace and quiet anywhere in public!

My latest spot (where I'm parked this morning) is the Red Whale Coffee Co. in Rothesay! My favourite is their peanut butter latte!

I usually pop in here to sip and work when I'm out in the KV area for the day. What I love besides their lattes and cookies as big as your face is that they have a million outlets for laptop users! I'm also big on supporting local shops and companies.

When I'm in the city, you can often find me at the Starbucks in the city holding a carmel macchiato or pumpkin spice latte- either at the east side location or uptown in Brunswick Square. Those are all my favourite spots!

Good tip, I've never been to the Red Whale, but that peanut butter latte is calling my name!

They have nice low cal options as well...hot beverages and desserts made with Splenda that are just as good as the real thing. Yumm!

Miss Canadian Twentysomething: thanks for checking out my blog! I always love finding fellow (maritime) style bloggers! I do most of my blogging at home too because I can try (but sometimes fail miserably at) multitasking with the length it takes me to accomplish things! But sometimes it's fun to get out and about!

Laura, I'm wishing now that they would put a Red Whale spot uptown :)

Amanda, thanks for the comment- and yes, it's great to be able to indulge guilt free!

Starbucks is NOT a local company, Java Moose is!

No, I agree Starbucks is not local, Red Whale is. I like Java Moose and I do support it, I'm just not a fan of the location of their coffee shop for working on my laptop, however the service and coffee is great. It's a bit darker in there and you don't get to see as much going on- otherwise I would vary it up a bit more.

I have a home office/craft room (when I'm not a fashion blogger, I'm a crafter) where I do most of my blogging. Before I got a desktop, most of my blogging was from the couch. I don't usually blog outside of the house though - but for no real reason, I just don't.

My mom works right next to Red Whale (Asha's!) so I've definitely popped in to make use of their internet & grab a drink from time to time. Cute little spot!

Thanks for your interest. It's been a while since I wrote this particular post, but to upload/edit photos and write the content, it likely took me 1/2 hour.
