If you remember, about 7 months ago, a group of creatives in Saint John came together in the stunning White Room for a fashion photo shoot titled Saint John Cut. A second round was organized by Barb Crawford, who brought everyone back (plus a few additions) for another fashion shoot and creative collaboration between photographers, make-up artists, stylist and wardrobe personnel, models, bloggers- and a hair stylist and designer this time around!

I spent the day styling outfits, carting and setting up wardrobe (as well as ensuring the clothing didn't get dirty on-set)! I also took the opportunity to play with my DSLR and shoot some behind-the-scenes photos.

Last night was Saint John's first blogger meet-up. It was a chance for bloggers who write about some aspect of fashion- whether it be personal style, lifestyle, photography, hair, or design- to gather together and, for some, meet for the 1st time in person. And what better than an opportunity to drink, eat, and be merry all while amongst beautiful shoes?

Have you picked up your tickets for the Sex and the City Soiree this Friday?

Silver Daisy Designs is hosting their 1st annual fashion show in memory of Dr. Anthony Lordon. With all proceeds being donated to Hospice, this event will take place at the Lily Lake Pavillion on October 14, 2011. On display will be Silver Daisy's fall merchandise as well as videos featuring local bloggers (yours truly included) dressed in their outfit of choice from the store and talking about their favourite fall trends.

Last weekend, myself and 6 bloggers got together with Kate Lordon from Silver Daisy, Beaver Smith from bigdayfoto, and Greg Knudson for a special video project.

Tickets are $25 each and all proceeds are going to a worthy cause! Not only will there be a runway show, but items will also be up for auction. Looking forward to it!

Blogger Meet-Up!

It's always more fun when a party has a theme! Next month's blogger meet-up will be paired with a girl's other best friend: shoes. The Urban Shoe Myth will be hosting Saint John's first blogger meet-up on Wednesday, October 12, from 6:30 to 8:30pm!

This event is open to all style, beauty, and photography bloggers in and around the Saint John area- and anyone from out of town that can make it, we'd love to see you too! Basically, if you blog with an interest in fashion- come join us for drinks, finger foods, and shoe shopping on the 12th- the store will be open outside their usual hours for our party! Guys, you are welcome to come too. They may not sell men's shoes but food can help make up for it!

Not only will we have the opportunity to meet and greet, but we'll also be sharing tips and chatting about how to better our blogs. Outfit bloggers, we'll be meeting up 1/2 hour before the event to take outfit photos together!
